Terms of engagement

Who we are and what we do

DAEMON Intelligence is a private intelligence and security agency. We take on checks and analysis, recovery of access to a client's own resources, reputation, consulting, financial structures and deal support.

We work within the law of the jurisdiction that applies to the task, and only with systems and data the client owns or administers, or on the client's direct instruction.

How work begins

Before any work we sign a non-disclosure agreement, assess feasibility, timing and cost, and put the scope in writing. The assessment is free and carries no obligation.

Work begins once scope and terms are agreed. Anything beyond the agreed scope is discussed separately.

Boundaries

We don't take on tasks involving access to other people's accounts or devices without the owner's consent, unlawful surveillance, harassment or harm to third parties.

We may decline a task without giving reasons, including if it turns out during the work to fall outside these boundaries.

Confidentiality

We do not disclose the fact of contact, the client's identity or the content of a task. We communicate over encrypted channels. Our handling of data is set out in the privacy policy.

Payment

Cost and payment terms are agreed before work starts and depend on the task, its complexity and urgency. The specifics are fixed in the arrangement for each task.

Result and liability

We do the work diligently and professionally, but we don't guarantee a specific outcome where it depends on circumstances beyond our control. We assess the feasibility of each task and say so honestly before starting.

For a legally significant result we recommend the involvement of a qualified lawyer; where needed we hand over materials in a form suitable for that.
